Necrotic Enteritis (NE)is bacterial disease which is caused by Clostridum perfringenes organism. It is the most devastating disease for poultry due to huge economic impact around 6-7 billion us dollar globally.

NecroticEnteritis always occurred with Low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) coccidiosis (Emeria acervulina & Emeriamitis)hat are most confusing in the field.

Susceptible Ages


All ages are affected by Necrotic Enteritis in poultry. But older birds are more Susceptible then younger birds.
Laying hen mostly affected due to inatke mass feed regularly that contain fishmeal/ meat bone protein concentration which source of clostridium perfringenes organism.

  1. Acute Infection: Its occurred sudden specially late winter when temperature & day length increase. temperature varies at day time 24-25 ° C & night temperature varies 12-14 ° C
  2. chronic infection: This types of infection occurred if birds not properly treated in aerly stages infection associated with coccicdiosis & low pathogenic avian influenza infection.
