Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza


Low Patthogenic Avian Influenza (LPAI) just only one of many subtypes in poultry. Avian influenza refers to the disease caused by infection with avian (birdinfluenza (flu) Type A viruses in poultry. its also known Bird Flu.

there are two types infection found in birds 1) High pathogenic Avian influenza( HPAI) 2) Low pathogenic Avian Influenza (LPAI). So LPAI just only one of many subtypes in poultry.

clinical signs show of Low Patthogenic Avian Influenza (LPAI) suddenly but mortality low in laying then broiler birds. bird can remain infected 1- 2 weeks but recovered after disappearance clinical signs.

Extensive mortality occurred at HPAI due to disease only seen in peracute stage.

Clinical Signs

Clinical signs varies stage of infection, time & weather condition. this severity occurred when day length increase but cold weather at night by overflow of air pressured increased.
